We are honored to welcome back author Laurie Wallmark to celebrate her second children’s book continues her exploration of women pioneers in math and science. Grace Hopper was a pioneer in computer programming whose accomplishments have had lasting influence.
Wallmark’s debut story, Ada Byron Lovelace and the Thinking Machine is a picture book biography about the world’s first computer programmer-over a hundred years before the invention of the electronic computer. At a time when girls and women had few options outside the home, Ada followed her dreams and studied mathematics.
Join us for an afternoon celebration of all three of these amazing women!
