An Afternoon of Verse

April 7 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Celebrate National Poetry Month with readings by poets Mohsen Harandi and Anthony Roberts at The Book Garden in Frenchtown. The event will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 3pm.
Mohsen Harandi’s collection, Midnight Connections, offers simple expressions and deep visualizations of pre-existence, birth, the purpose of life, creativity, nature, love, death and reincarnation. Born and raised in Tehran, Harandi’s work provides his unique view into the soul of Persian poetry. When Harandi isn’t writing he is working as an engineering scientist.
Poet Anthony Roberts takes readers to the gritty streets of Baltimore 30 years ago, today and back again in Pigtown. His poetry leaps off the page with an unflinching fury wrapped in a deep desire to reach for the light through the darkness and to speak for the silent.
Both poets also draw inspiration from the Delaware River Valley they call home.
The reading will be on Saturday, April 7th from 3pm to 4:30pm at The Book Garden, 28 Bridge Street, Frenchtown, NJ. 908-996-2022; contact@bookgarde.biz. Refreshments will be served.
