The Book Garden in Frenchtown is hosting a book signing and talk for Delaware Valley High School alumna Jodi (Razgaitis) Kendall, author of The Unlikely Story of a Pig in the City. The event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 22nd from 2pm to 4pm.

This young adult novel is about finding one’s place in the world – in this case with a pet pig named Hamlet. The main character, 11-year-old Josie Shilling, faces struggles within herself and as a middle child in her big, chaotic, solidly middle class family.

“The book’s main audience is kids in grades 3 to 7 but the story is one we can all relate to. The relationship that develops between Josie and Hamlet is heart-warming; the story is funny, sometimes sad and very real. I’m looking forward to hearing Jodi share the real life story that influenced this one,” said Caroline Scutt, co-owner of The Book Garden.

When Jodi isn’t writing about fictional animals she is busy writing about elephants, orangutans, manatees and sharks as well as many other topics.
Jodi Kendall will be at The Book Garden on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 2pm to 4pm. The Book Garden is located at 28 Bridge Street in Frenchtown, NJ. For details, call 908-996-2022, email contact@bookgarden or or visit The Book Garden on Facebook.
