The Book Garden is falling back into autumn with a colorful array of author and lit-themed events. Join us for a conversation with special guest acclaimed author Jonathan Miles about his new novel, Anatomy of a Miracle on Tuesday, Oct. 9th at 7pm during Evening Reads Book Club. Find out the inspiration for this incredible story and chat with one of our favorite authors. And we aren’t the only ones who love him. Check out this review in the LA Review of Books. RSVP for this event is highly recommended as space is limited.

Go on a spiritual journey of a different kind with author Sarada Chiruvolu when she visits on Saturday, Oct 13th to discuss her new book, Home at Last. “I felt as though it was preordained and was in a sense imposed on me; a journey meant to be completed because it was my time to pursue it. The book explains how I reached that state without relinquishing the life I was given; having a family, a career, and an active social life with all the responsibilities inherent in those roles….”
Come learn more and share your stories of self-discovery at 3pm on October 13th.

Frenchtown area writers – both published and aspiring-to-be-published are invited to join in the first Wine-n-Chat Frenchtown Writers gathering on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 7pm to 9ish. Wine and other refreshments will be served and a donation of $5 is requested to defray refreshment costs. Come meet, mingle and be inspired and reassured that the life of a writer is a life worth pursuing.

Red Dashboard poets will share their work on Sunday, Oct. 21st from 2pm to 4pm. Featured poets will be Ryan Torres, reading from his new collection, Barry Gross and Kate Nardone.

Last but not least, The Book Garden is excited to announce our first ever Haunted Garden brought to you by the Frenchtown Fright Club. Doors will open at 5pm on Tuesday, Oct. 30th. Children of all ages (and brave adults) are invited to come be part of the fun. There is no cost and we promise a few screams, some laughter and surprises.
