The proprietor and creator of the Book Garden is Esther Tews. Book Garden is the result of a retirement dream to own her own business after working 20+ years in the health care field. The culmination of her efforts resulted in the grand opening of the Book Garden on Saturday, September 25th, 1999. The bookstore is situated in a charming nineteenth-century Victorian house. Special orders are warmly welcomed to ensure that our customers have access to the literature that may not be available on site.

In November of 2000, the Museum Shop was added with collections of fine art cards and stationery, Museum reproduction jewelry and handmade gift imports from Germany, Egypt and Russia.
